Who We Are
Christ Lutheran Church is a gathering of believers who share a common faith in God’s plan for our salvation – Jesus died for our sins so we can live eternally in heaven. We are excited about sharing this message of God’s love with our community.
We are Christians united in mission and purpose. We are lifelong church members and new to the faith. We welcome all ages and backgrounds.
We are also a part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) which enables us to support world missions, pastor and teacher training, and other activities we could not do by ourselves. To learn more about what we believe, click here.
About Our Pastor
Pastor Scott Miller became a member of God’s family through the water and word of Holy Baptism in August 1973 at Emmanuel Lutheran in rural Grover, SD. He grew up on a farm northeast of Garden City, SD and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran in Henry, SD, where he was confirmed in the faith in June 1987.
After beginning his studies for the ministry at Northwestern College, Watertown, WI in 1992, he graduated from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN in 1997 and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 2001. He received a divine call to serve a tri-parish in southern South Dakota (Grace, Burke, SD; Peace, Carlock, SD; and, St John’s, Herrick, SD).
Pastor Miller then accepted a divine call to Immanuel Lutheran, South Lyon, MI, located north of Ann Arbor, where he served from 2006-2018. In March 2018, he received a call to serve the mission congregation of Light of Life Lutheran, Greenwood, IN on the south side of Indianapolis, where he served until arriving in Door County.
Pastor Miller enjoys running, hiking, reading, and watching some sports. With God’s help, he looks forward to serving the flocks at Christ Lutheran and Zion Lutheran.
